1. What this covers
This policy applies to marketplace orders: items you ordered and paid for through Vikka.
It does not apply to classified ads, where you contact the advertiser and pay them directly. No money passes through Vikka on those, so we have nothing to refund. See our Terms and conditions for the difference.
2. The return window
Each seller sets their own return window, and it is shown on the listing before you buy. Where a seller has not set one, it is 7 days from the day the order is delivered.
The window is fixed at the moment you order. If the seller changes it later, your order keeps the window it was bought under.
3. How to return something
- Open the order in your account and choose to return it.
- Say what is wrong and, where it helps, attach a photograph. A picture of what arrived is usually what settles it.
- The seller reviews it and either accepts or refuses, with a reason.
4. If the seller accepts
The refund is made to the original payment method: the card or account you paid from. We cannot send it anywhere else.
We issue the refund as soon as the return is accepted. How long it then takes to appear is your bank's, not ours: typically a few working days, and up to fourteen for some cards.
5. If the seller refuses
You can escalate it to Vikka from the order. We look at both sides and decide, and both of you are told the decision and the reason for it.
Opening a dispute holds the seller's money until it is settled, so it cannot be paid out while the question is open. If we decide in your favour, the refund is made as in section 4.
6. Cancelling before dispatch
An order that has not been dispatched can be cancelled, and the payment is returned in full. The stock goes back on sale immediately.
7. What cannot be returned
Unless the item arrived damaged, faulty or not as described, a seller may refuse a return of:
- Perishable goods, food and plants.
- Items made or personalised to your order.
- Underwear, swimwear, cosmetics and other goods that cannot be resold once opened, where the seal is broken.
- Digital items and vouchers once they have been delivered or redeemed.
- Services that have already been performed.
An item that is damaged, faulty or not as described can always be returned, whatever it is.
8. After an order completes
An order completes when you confirm delivery, or automatically once the return window closes. At that point the seller's money is released to them and may already have been withdrawn, so a completed order cannot be disputed through the site.
If something is wrong after that, email apps.codinglegends@gmail.com. We will look at it, but we cannot promise to recover money that has already left the platform. This is why it is worth confirming a delivery only once you have checked the item.
9. Return postage
If the item is damaged, faulty or not as described, the seller pays the return postage. If you are returning it because you changed your mind, you do, unless the seller says otherwise.
